The focal point of the Living Room is the fireplace accented by the artwork and framed in by the two Étagères. The conversation or sitting area is defined by the textured area rug. Four matching chairs surround a custom round cocktail table where you can sit and read, play games, relax, have a cocktail and enjoy the fire. The small accent tables of chrome and wood offer a place for drinks and other accessories and complement the metal on the Étagères.
The color theme of Navy provides drama and is shown in the chairs, artwork and a few of the glass accessories. The two different patterns selected in the pillows are a neutral shade to pop against the velvet texture of the blue chairs. Accessories help personalize a home.
The handsome clock is a favorite designer accent piece often seen on the show “Million Dollar Listing New York” in Ryan Serhant’s office. The beautiful bowl below the clock is an authentic piece of Murano Glass. The silver pair of horses play off the silver of the Étagères. A few family photos and books show the family’s interests and make the room feel like home.

Using air plants to bring life and texture to an open space.
In any area where you may have an open concept with high ceilings, large window and a skylight, think about decor that is airy but has texture. A wall of air plants works well in these large areas. Using air plants that do bud with color will always keep the space interesting throughout the year. Now air plants do need to be watered, so when creating your wall, make sure that you can remove the strands and water as prescribed by the directions that come with your air plants.
