A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and
returns home to find it.

We welcome March to San Clemente, and we welcome our readers to go into the pages of this month’s home issue.
Thank you for everyone’s contributions this month, including Garth and good friend, Ed Lloyd of Woodslab, for giving us an inside look at the beautiful art they create out of wood. Alecia Nelson at It’s A Dog’s Life Academy, for her insight with dogs being left at home. Laura LeFever of Reflections Interiors and Design, and Tina Metzger of TinaMarieDesigns.net, showing us creative ways to decorate with a coastal vibe. Also Gretchan Trudeau of Bamboo & Beyond, giving us ideas for an island-inspired feel at home.
This month, we get the chance to celebrate several observances, including, Peanut Butter Lovers’ Day on the 1st; Employee Appreciation Day on the 2nd; Hug a GI day observed on the 4th; Johnny Appleseed Day on the 11th; Incredible Kid Day on the 16th and of course, Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated on the 17th.
National Puppy Day is the 23rd; this day was created in 2006 by celebrity Pet & Home Lifestyle expert, Colleen Paige. It is a special day to recognize the unconditional love puppies give us, and the joy they bring into our lives. One of the goals is to encourage us to adopt orphaned puppies.
And March 29 is National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day. This day celebrates small business owners. These individuals spend countless hours nurturing and growing their young enterprises. The workload demands, and lack of a hired staff, often translates into long and late hours, and many missed family and personal events. But, all in all, they love what they do. After all, they are their own boss.
Lastly, this month we move our clocks forward one hour for Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 11.
Have a great March, San Clemente!
