“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
‒ Josh Billings

Any dog owner can tell you how much more they give in the way of Love and Affection; then it takes to care for one. July and dogs go hand in hand, and we love our furry friends as much as our most cherished loved ones. In fact, they are a major part of the family. That’s why we’ve included an article this month on Pet-Friendly places around town to enjoy something to eat, or just a hot cup of Joe with our precious pet’s in tow.

We also want to thank everyone who either helps clean up the beach or brings awareness to whats happening around us in the way of beach conservation. In particular, the plans to bury San Onofre’s nuclear waste just a few hundred feet from the beach. The nonprofit group Citizens Oversight filed suit to stop it. The California Coastal Commission has rescheduled its next briefing over the 2015 permit that allows Southern California Edison to bury millions of pounds of nuclear waste next to one of the most iconic surf breaks in the world: San O’. The August meeting will be held at Pepperdine University in Malibu.
Residents who cannot attend the meeting are invited to email the commission at SanOnofreComments@coastal.ca.gov.
